At Mito Digital, our mission is to design and deliver human-centered, best-in-class digital solutions. For over a decade, we’ve partnered with enterprises worldwide in telco, lottery, e-commerce, and aviation. We take pride in our work—and have a lot of fun along the way. But let’s be honest, can you ever have too much pride and fun?
Our aviation team is already soaring high, developing cutting-edge solutions for our inspiring client. Now, we’re looking for a Backend Developer to help us climb even higher.
Your Mission
As part of our crew, you’ll build and maintain high-performance APIs, optimize cloud-based systems, and ensure everything runs as smoothly as a well-planned flight schedule. You’ll collaborate with developers, designers, and industry experts to solve complex challenges and deliver scalable, future-proof solutions.
If you're ready to work on projects that impact millions of travelers worldwide—without the jet lag—then fasten your seatbelt and prepare for takeoff!
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own the entire development lifecycle—discuss requirements with stakeholders, implement solutions, and operate services in production.
- Build and maintain highly scalable, turbulence-resistant APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS—because downtime is as welcome as a middle seat on a long-haul flight.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that won’t make future-you (or your teammates) cry.
- Apply observability best practices—monitor, debug, and optimize applications like a true backend whisperer.
- Work independently but collaborate when needed—no lone wolves, just a solid team.
- Stay business-focused—prioritize what actually delivers value, not just what looks cool in the codebase.
- Adapt to challenges with flexibility, a problem-solving mindset, and a good sense of humor—because sometimes turbulence is inevitable, but panic isn’t.
What You Bring
- Solid backend development experience—you're no stranger to building and navigating highly scalable backend services.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS—if these are your bread and butter, we’re off to a good start.
- A solid grasp of full web application development—from request to response and everything in between.
- Excellent communication skills in English and fluent Hungarian.
- A responsible, open, and proactive approach to problem-solving—if something breaks, you don’t just reboot and hope for the best.
- Familiarity with observability best practices (logging, monitoring, tracing)—because flying blind isn’t fun.
- The ability to focus on what matters—understanding business needs and delivering real impact, not just writing fancy code for the sake of it.
