What was certain…
From the get-go, one thing was set in stone: the involvement of Hungary’s most famous duo, ValMar. Beyond that, everything was in our hands at Mito, Burger King's lead agency.
...and what wasn’t
Our first task was to hash out with Burger King and ValMar what an integrated influencer campaign actually looks like. We envisioned a campaign that would naturally and authentically match every communication platform to both the campaign's vibe and the duo. We wanted our customers and guests to feel they were getting more than just celebrity endorsements; we wanted to offer them something extra where both the brand and ValMar could really shine. And what roles did the guys take on?
Burger preparation
We dedicated our TV commercial to brainstorming the burger's concept, showcasing some wild, surreal options that also crossed the guys’ minds. It was a solid start, but still not enough to claim the title of 2023’s most successful influencer campaign.
Naming the burger
The guys did more than just show their faces; they put their names on the product too. This deeper involvement obviously helped our sales numbers. The photoshoot, which was done during the commercial filming, captured the same energy and atmosphere you see in the final film.
Burger preparation again
We decided it'd be cooler if the burger was named after them. Even better? Having them actually cook it. So, we set up a meet and greet where fans were able to collect autographs and selfies. Marics Peti and Valkusz Milán also hopped behind the counter and grilled up burgers for their biggest fans. Spoiler: they all sold out.
The promotion
And about those autographs: everyone loves signed memorabilia from their favourite stars, right? We wanted to make this campaign memorable by having the duo sign our key visuals. Lucky participants in the activation even got to take these signed pieces home – assuming they had enough wall space in their bedroom.
Handling the trolls
No influencer campaign is complete without its share of haters. But here's the real question: is it possible to win over the trolls in just a few hours? According to our campaign, yes. For more on how we did it, check out our case study – complete with some impressive numbers.
